Headaches, migraines, allergies, autoimmunity, weight gain, acne, skin rashes, yeast infections, hormonal imbalances, fatigue, immune challenges, and even the way you sense pain; these are all symptoms related to the health of your guy.
Here are some of the most common signs of a gut-out-of-balance. If you are experiencing any of these, it may be time for you to meet with your doctor.
1. You’re not having regular bowel movements, or you suffer from constipation.
Bowel movements should happen at least once daily so that all the toxins and waste are removed from the body. It is important that you drink at least 64 ounces of water daily. It is also important that you increase fiber by upping your green intake.
2. You have bloating, gas, and other issues
Contrary to what many people believe, these are not normal issues you should be dealing with after eating.
3. You Have frequent loose stools or diarrhea, or you need to run to the bathroom after eating.
Although this could be a sign of irritable bowel syndrome, you still may need to have your symptoms checked out. Having to use the bathroom right after a meal is not a normal sign, and it may show that your gut is out of whack.
4. You get frequent yeast infections
Frequent yeast infections can be a sign of your gut harboring an overgrowth of yeast and losing good bacteria.
5. You get sick often
About 70% of your immune system sits in your gut. One of your gut’s primary roles is to maintain an immune barrier to the outside world. This means that frequent colds can signify bad gut health.
6. You have difficulty losing weight, no matter what you do
Gut bacteria can change how your body stores fat. The wrong type of microbial diversity can set the stage for obesity and other diseases. Leaky gut can also put your immune system into overdrive, leaving you struggling to lose weight.
7. You are constantly tired, no matter how much rest you get
If you’re getting a good amount of sleep every night, you shouldn’t feel sluggish and tired. Gut conditions such as leaky gut, could be behind your fatigue.
